It is the logical progression, you want to pass your driving test so you need to learn to drive. Right?

Either you learn privately, mum, dad, older sister, brother etc.  Or you get taught professionally.

Now I am biased, I want you to learn from an expert and unless your brother sister mum or dad are driving instructors, it is unlikely that they will possess the skills necessary to ensure early success.  You may get there eventually after a few tests, learning from what the examiner tells you what you need to improve.

There are some really good non-professional instructors but there really is no substitute for a fully qualified, experienced, Driving Standards Agency Driving Instructor.

When 2Pass launches it’s Driving School Franchise in January, 2009, I can assure you that you will receive expert tuition.  Our aim is to provide a competitively priced alternative to big name driving schools who in many instances fob you off with an inexperienced Trainee, yet still charge you full price.

We named our Driving School after the domain name 2Pass.eu which you may know is the European equivalent of .co.uk.  Our official name therefore is 2Pass.eu Driving School but our long term aim is to be recognised for the shortened version - 2Pass or 2 Pass.  Not to be confused with another website which provides an outstanding range of information and advice for learner drivers.  The website I am referring to is 2pass.co.uk who have been around a long time and have built a large website packed with good information, forum, driving school directory etc.

Whilst in the long term we intend providing a vast range of services, our initial target is to create a website which enables internet users around the country to book a 2Pass .eu Driving School Instructor.  The online diary that we are creating will enable you to choose which instructor you prefer and a lesson at a date and time that is convenient to you.  Lessons will also be paid for using credit or debit card enabling you to spread the cost of driving lessons over a longer period.

Due to the way that we will build the 2Pass .eu Driving School Franchise we will be able to price lessons very competitively in order that our members, both Instructors and Learner Drivers, get the most value from 2Pass .eu Driving School.

2Pass .eu is intended to be available all around the country starting 1st January, 2009.  At that time any Driving Instructors that have pre registered with us will be invited to take up our Franchise.

In order to test our 2Pass .eu Franchise we have an active Driving Instructor in Dundee.

It is my job to establish a prototype of how a 2Pass .eu Driving Instructor will operate his or her 2Pass .eu Franchise.

I have been a driving instructor for the past nine years so I know many of the features that a driving instructor may desire and also some of the downsides of working for a Driving School.

Over the coming months up until 1st January, 2009 when we launch the proper 2Pass .eu website, I will be testing and refining our 2Pass .eu Franchise ensuring that we operate efficiently and for the benefit of not only pupils learning with us but also the Driving Instructors who we hope will take up our 2Pass .eu Franchise.

Learning to drive with 2Pass.eu is possible whether you are looking to learn with a manual car or automatic.  Automatic Driving Lessons are available either as your first choice or if, having started with a manual car you decide that you feel you may learn more quickly in an automatic.

Automatic Driving Lessons are conducted along exactly the same lines as those in a manual car with a couple of variations.  For example, with automatic driving lessons as there isn’t a clutch to deal with, finding the ‘biting point’ is no longer an issue.  Nor is there a need to select an appropriate gear when approaching a junction.

In most other respects automatic driving lessons are just like those conducted in a manual car.

2Pass.eu is a sister Driving School of GMTS which is a leading Motorcycle Training Company with offices in Dundee and Perth, in Scotland, UK.

2Pass.eu is operating as a pilot scheme in the area of Dundee whilst the software to run an online diary is created.

Further progress of 2Pass.eu will take place once the online diary software has been fully tested.

What the 2Pass.eu software needs to do is to enable anyone wishing to learn to drive, to book and pay for their driving lessons online.

2Pass.eu will also provide a whole host of benefits for both Learner Drivers and Driving Instructors with a range of information and services.  The services we intend implementing will provide much needed help for learner drivers to study for a driving test, incorporating material for theory training.

2Pass.eu will also provide a range of services for Driving Instructors in order to make the job of Driving Instruction more profitable and to reduce the amount of time spent on administration.
