I have this friend.. and she wont confide in me anymore… she’s one of my best mates.. and she wont tell me anything about things going on between her and her boyfriend anymore…… all because i got upset because i she is going out with someone, and i never will… anyway, thats not the point….

how do i show her that i don’t care anymore about how upset i get…

I can understand what it means but I cannot understand how to do it. Can someone please give me examples? And does it mean that the old master would not get published today, because they were storytellers?

My husband seems to go through phases of rebelling about the fact that he’s reached the heady age of (get ready for it), 35!
And, despite him being 7 years older than me and therefore pushing for the major changes in our lives, whenever they do happen, HE is the one who rebels and does things that often are close to ruining everything.
Don’t get me wrong, i love him very much and he’s GREAT in-between, but lately he seems to think he’s 25 and that it’s perfectly ok to stay out literally all night drinking and such.
How can i show him that it really ISN’T alright without nagging him or drawing him in to a game of tit-for-tat. Especially as he wants to try for babies!

- don’t worry, i’m not a boring old goat myself. Well, perhaps boring enough to be tired by 1am and therefore not out all night
- i blimmin’ hope he wouldn’t ditch me for a 25 year-old, i’m only 28 myself!
- yeah, he’s def not ready for the babies, and good point about not being there to produce them
- is he having an affair? Not this time. Of that i’m pretty sure.
other details: I think he finds it hard that i am the main breadwinner. I run my own company in central London and work 60 hour weeks. Hence to me it’s important that this commitment and respect is earned because i am not going to be the one holding the baby, he is…
